Japan is the primary global importer of bluefin tuna and these fish regularly sell for over $30 per kilogram at Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 8 August, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by L. Schiller Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, Canada, and colleagues was titled, " High seas fisheries play a negligible role in addressing global food security."
