Kristopher Innanen, an assistant professor of physics at UH, is the 2006 recipient of the J. Clarence Karcher Award from the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Only the second from UH to receive this top honor, Innanen was given the Karcher award for enhancing ways to detect petroleum targets.
