Finding Latent Virus (IMAGE) Rockefeller University Caption Lillian Cohn (above) and her colleagues sequenced and compared the sites in the genomes of infected CD4 T cells where the virus had integrated. This allowed them to determine whether or not an infected cell had previously been copied as part of an immune response. Their results suggest the latent virus hides out in cells that have not been copied.
