Mountain zebra occur only in the extreme south-west of Africa, with populations now largely restricted to protected areas in Namibia and South Africa. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 27, 2015 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by G.P. Hempson at University of Cape Town in Rondebosch, South Africa, and colleagues was titled, "A continent-wide assessment of the form and intensity of large mammal herbivory in Africa."
