Heart muscle cells from the atrium repair the damaged ventricle: 96 hours after the ventricle was damaged, a large number of atrium cells (green) migrated from the atrium (A) into the ventricle (V). Together with the surviving muscle cells of the atrium (red), the ventricle is mostly functional again.
