<i>Mauritia flexuosa</i>, an Amazonian domesticated hyperdominant species in the Negro River. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 3 March, issue of <i>Science</i>, published by AAAS. The paper, by C. Levis at Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia - INPA in Manaus, Brazil, and colleagues was titled, "Persistent effects of pre-Columbian plant domestication on Amazonian forest composition."
