In this video, researchers explain findings in Nature Genetics linking the Epstein-Barr virus -- best known for causing mononucleosis -- to risks for seven other major diseases: systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis , juvenile idiopathic arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and type 1 diabetes.
