Fleshy projections on the skin of O. aculeatus allow it to camouflage like algae in its natural habitat. This image relates to article that appeared in the 25 March 2005 issue of the journal Science, published by AAAS. The study, by C.L. Huffard of the University of California, Berkeley and colleagues, was titled "Underwater Bipedal Locomotion by Octopuses in Disguise."
