Nanoparticle drug-delivery system developed to treat brain disorders

A simple nanoparticle platform with precisely engineered surface properties enables therapeutically effective delivery of biological agents such as siRNA across a physically breached blood brain barrier (leaky blood vessels early after the injury) and across an intact blood brain barrier. This radically simple approach can be leveraged for other types of molecules and neurological disorders, where drug delivery to the brain is required.
