New Cloud Measurements Are Predicting a Warmer Climate (3 of 3)

This is a view of mixed-phase clouds approaching Jungfraujoch in the Swiss Alps. The thin and wispy cloud layers indicate the presence of ice crystals and the puffy cloud layers are composed of liquid droplets that are more reflective of sunlight. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the April 8, 2016 issue of <i>Science</i>, published by AAAS. The paper, by I. Tan at Yale University in New Haven, CT, and colleagues was titled, "Observational constraints on mixed-phase clouds imply higher climate sensitivity."
