This is a confocal image of a 3-D fibrin assay of the WM852 melanoma cells first co-cultured with lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs). LEC contact induces melanoma cells to an invasive sprouting growth phenotype. GFP expressing (green) melanoma cells were stained with anti-CD44 antibodies (red), nuclei are counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue).
