Valuable Areas Ranked by Order of Importance in Terms of Biodiversity

The areas which were identified as the most valuable by Zonation are marked in dark red, while less valuable areas are blue. An example analysis conducted by the conservation and land use planning software Zonation, with areas in the European Union ranked by order of importance in terms of biodiversity. Spatial data of nearly 400 vertebrate species were used in the priority listing.
