A new class of aqueous electrolyte enables high-voltage aqueous batteries. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 20, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Liumin Suo at University of Maryland, College Park in College Park, Md., and colleagues was titled, 'Water-in-salt' electrolyte enables high-voltage aqueous lithium-ion chemistries.'
