Fiber Optics Networking (IMAGE) DOE/Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Caption The William R. Wiley Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's computer networks are implemented with over 200 miles of fiber optic cabling, providing dedicated ethernet to each office, 155Mbps ATM, and Gigabit networking capacities to laboratories. All management of patching and electronics is accomplished in one central facility, providing a very cost-effective networking solution. This is the first facility of its size to provide both multi/single mode fiber to the desktop! Credit Courtesy of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
