Miniature vs. conventional battery (IMAGE)
Caption
While a typical 18650 commercial, rechargeable lithium-ion battery has an energy capacity of around 2,800 milliampere hours (mAh), the miniature cylindrical pouch-type cells have a capacity of just 20 mAh or so and require only around 0.1 gram of cathode-active material, a key component of lithium-ion batteries. However, they were still able to accurately perform in full-cell-level ARC tests on a laboratory scale.
