Colorectal cancer (CRC) is influenced by oncomicrobes. This study used inactivated whole-cell vaccines to demonstrate the mitigation of tumor progression induced by the oncomicrobes in prophylactic and therapeutic models, showing a reduced abundance of targeted bacteria and gut inflammation without disturbing the normal gut microbiota.
