Figure 1 | Diagram of the double-slit interference experiment. In double-slit interference experiment, photons can pass through either the upper or lower path, with detectors behind each path determining the exact route taken by the photons. At the same time, an interference pattern of alternating bright and dark fringes forms on the screen.
