Detailed optical property maps of biological tissues result from a newly developed laparoscopic imaging device that integrates stereo depth estimation and speckle-illumination spatial frequency domain imaging (si-SFDI). The system was validated against conventional SFDI in both simple and complex tissue phantoms, as well as in an in vivo finger constriction study, where it demonstrated similar accuracy with lower error rates.
