Figure. Concept of new quantum imaging with ultra-thin nonlinear metasurfaces. The metasurface generates spatially entangled photon pairs, with their emission angle tunable via the pump laser wavelength. Using these photon pairs, quantum imaging with unprecedented resolution and field of view can be achieved by combining quantum ghost imaging and all-optical scanning.
