Researchers develop a highly efficient sample introduction method for elemental analysis in single mammalian cells

The method uses a microdroplet generator to introduce single-cell-containing droplets as a part of the sample introduction system for fast time-resolved analysis. One end of the glass plumbing (1) is fit to a total consumption spray chamber and another end (2) is fit to an ICP torch.
