Mapping clock neuron connectivity enables the elucidation of mechanisms underlying circadian clock-related behaviors. Drosophila is an ideal model for mapping this connectivity as they have a simple but conserved circadian clock neural network. A new study by Reinhard et al. revealed the synaptic connectome of the circadian clock neurons in Drosophila.
