CAFs in TME: key Immunosuppressors. Secreting CXCLs, ILs, TGF-β, CCL12, PGE2, CAFs promote pro-cancer macrophage conversion, inactivate NK cells, and hinder CD8+T cell aggregation. Immune cells like TAMs, NKs, CD8+Ts, MCs, Tregs secrete IL6, IL13, CXCL12, trypsin, TGF-β to activate and proliferate CAFs. CAFs also regulate TAM behavior via FAP, SR-A/CD204, induce CD4+T cell apoptosis via PD-L1/PD-L2, and activate neutrophils via amyloid-β protein, creating a feedback loop.
