Image processing by the m-rBCR model (IMAGE) Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf Caption The illustration on the left depicts a cut cell. The micrographs in the box show the indicated structure – the cut smooth endoplasmic reticulum (a part of a transportation system of the cell). The images on the left are the inputs to, the ones on the right the output from the model. The three levels from bottom to top represent the different sequential stages of m-rBCR processing, which focus on a different level of detail from high frequency to low frequency. The scheme between the micrographs is a rough summary of the m-rBCR model architecture processing images from blurry to sharp (deconvolution). With each processing step, the tubular structure of the smooth endoplasmic reticulum becomes easier to discern. Credit © A.
