Multichannel topological light splitter using long-range interactions. A schematic of multichannel topological light splitter by employing long-range interactions. Topological invariants are designed distinctly for each region of the entire lattice, by employing the lattice overlap technique. The design allows for defect-robust beam splitting through topologically-protected multichannel edge modes. By tailoring topological invariants while preserving the bandgaps of the lattice, the proposed approach can be applied to other signal processing functionalities, achieving enhanced signal bandwidths and high robustness against defects.
