Each belief a person holds is related to their other beliefs, as well as to perceived and actual beliefs of people around them. In a paper in Psychological Review, Jonas Dalege, Mirta Galesic, and Henrik Olsson develop a new Networks of Belief theory, incorporating work from psychology and statistical physics to study the internal and external dynamics of beliefs.
