Scabrolide F and its synthetic intermediates

The synthetic scabrolide F and its related compounds showed antifouling activity toward the cypris larvae of the barnacle Amphibalanus amphitrite with EC50 values of 2.65–9.46 μg/mL. Furthermore, these six compounds were found to be nontoxic at a concentration of 50 μg/mL (LC50 > 50 μg/mL).
