Drugs acting on the MAPK pathway may be effective against ALS

There are hardly any drugs against ALS. A new study shows that a substance acting on the MAPK signaling pathway may be effective against the neurodegenerative disease: After treatment with trametinib, cortical mouse nerve cells (blue) survived better than without.
