Assoc Prof Koh Ming Joo led the research team, in collaboration with the Rosalind Franklin Institute and the University of Oxford, to develop a novel method to synthesise stable sugar compounds which have potential applications for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotechnology sectors.
