Artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize photovoltaic systems by improving efficiency, reliability and predictability of solar power generation. Researchers from Chinese and Malaysian universities compared publications demonstrating the performance of AI techniques in solving some of the most pressing problems in PV integration. Following these insights, the team highlighted emerging challenges and future perspectives.
