In this image adapted from figures in the study, the left side shows a neuron imaged with mosTF, while the right shows the neuron imaged with lineTF. Below are magnifications of the dotted areas. In the mosTF images dendritic spines are clearly visible in the magnified images, while they are obscured by noise in the lineTF image.
