Regulation and function of the Bub1 acetylation/deacetylation cycle (IMAGE)
Caption
A, Under normal conditions, the Bub1 acetylation/deacetylation cycle regulates the kinase activity of Bub1 and thereby promotes the recruitment of CPC and Sgo1 to centromeres during early mitosis. B, In experimental conditions, TIP60 inhibition or premature deacetylation by HDAC1 during mitosis results in loss of Bub1 acetylation and a subsequent decrease in its kinase activity.
