Differences relative to current distribution by (a) maximized production of maize, rice, and wheat with current global nitrogen input (190 Tg/a) and (b) with the input reduced to within the proposed planetary boundary of 62 Tg/a, (c) with minimized input for current global production and (d) maximized production with the input reduced to within the upper boundary of the uncertainty zone of the proposed planetary boundary (82 Tg/a).
