Researchers at TUS develop rbNPs that arrest cell cycle and suppress the expression of proteins, such as β-catenin and cyclin D1, that promote metastasis, specifically in cancer cells. They also induce apoptosis of cancer cells, thereby displaying significant anticancer effect.
