In Experiment 3, 4 distinct forest scenarios are depicted, each corresponding to a unique experimental objective. The numerical values within the green blocks indicate the height of each layer. For sensitivity to crown cover tests in Experiment 3, variations in color (dark green and dark orange) signify layer positions with the densest canopy cover and mixed tree species (CAs), respectively.
