An example of a probate inventory from England in the late 17th century. This is the inventory of John Booth, a victualler (supplier of food and alcohol) from Macclesfield in the county of Cheshire, dated to 1697.
The research team extracted the name of the parish, job occupation and the year for over two million such records across Britain, forming part of the dataset. This information can be seen at the top of the document.
