As shown on this non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) plot, researchers found that Streptococcus and Pedobacter bacteria species were the most prevalent microbes in healthy eyes (blue) while more Acinetobacter species were present in their eye microbiome of people with dry eye (red).
