This review briefly discusses the research progress, the kinetics mechanism of ammonia oxidation reaction and the strict protocol for the experiment. The controllable strategies of catalyst alloy design, amorphization, and mono- or diatomic modulation help to inhibit side reactions and electrode damage from corrosive substances generated during electrolysis.
