Boston College Assistant Professor of Biology Emrah Altindis has been awarded a $2.5-million grant from the NIH's National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to further his research into using viral insulins to inhibit a receptor protein that plays a role in cancer and other diseases.
