Dr. Shuang (Cynthia) Cui, principal investigator and assistant professor of mechanical engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas, holds a quick-drying polymeric desiccant that could make air conditioning more efficient and lower carbon emissions. Cui and her colleagues received a $1.7 million, four-year grant from the National Science Foundation to develop the polymer.
