Biomolecular condensates

Iron is a micronutrient. Plants need special transcription factors (such as FIT and bHLH39) and light for iron uptake. When plants are exposed to blue light under iron deficiency, the transcription factors accumulate in biomolecular condensates in the cell nucleus, which may serve as molecular regulatory hubs for the acquisition of more iron.
