A MODULARIZED CATALYTIC SYSTEM OF METAL OXIDES AND COFs WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONSTRUCTED TO SIMULATE ENZYMES THAT CAN EFFICIENTLY CATALYZE THE TRANSFER HYDROGENATION OF A SERIES OF SATURATED AND UNSATURATED ALDEHYDES WITH >99% SELECTIVITY, AND THE ACTIVITY WAS ENORMOUSLY PROMOTED AS COMPARED WITH METAL OXIDES. THE ENHANCED ACTIVITY IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE HYDROGEN BONDS BETWEEN COFs AND ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, WHICH PROMOTES ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL DEHYDROGENATION AND HYDRIDE TRANSFER ON METAL OXIDES.
