Experiment results with various light scenarios (shafts of light) and different Arabidopsis variants in which the photorespiratory enzymes have been switched off. To the right of the plant images is a reduced schematic diagram of photorespiration, where the low growth of the GGT1 mutants in constant light is explained by a photorespiratory metabolic pathway in the chloroplast.
