Diagram of the electrochemical behavior of urea-based eutectic electrolyte at the cathode interface (IMAGE)
Caption
(a) Schematic diagram of the structure and potential, and (b) schematic diagram of mass-charge transfer. φ represents the potential at different distances from the cathode interface. The substitution of OTf- by urea at the cathode interface achieves an increase in cathodic potential while differentiating the kinetics of desolvation of Mn2+ and Zn2+. This modulation of the cathode interface ultimately results in a high-capacity, long-cycle battery.
