The Elastic Plastic Impact Computations (EPIC) Dynamic Finite Element computational tool, which SwRI has developed and maintained since 2007, cost-effectively supports the design of more effective warheads and armor. This image shows a simulated impact using EPIC. SwRI will continue advancing EPIC as part of an Other Transaction Prototype Agreement with the U.S Army Corps of Engineers.
